In 1916 the Golden Flyer passed through the region on its way to Washington — but in 2026 Annapolis gets its own moment in history. The Golden Flyer II will cruise historic Annapolis, stop at a suffrage plaque on State Circle commemorating the Army of the Severn — women who marched from Baltimore to Annapolis in 1914 — and join the Mayor for a waterside gathering where a local artist will paint the Golden Flyer II at the docks. The drive continues to an independent bookstore for an evening of conversation, books, and ERA advocacy.
